Your Questions, Answered
1. What sizes are included?
To be eligible for the discounted 6 month Swap Membership you need to bring in 7 items in sizes 14-20 or L- 1X.
2. What if I don’t have 7 items in sizes 14–20?
You can still join SwapIt with a 6-month membership for $99. But to snag the $49 deal, you’ll need 7 swap-ready items in sizes 14–20 (L-1X) during October.
3. When does my 6-month membership start?
It’s up to you! Start immediately or wait until 10 people have joined. Either way, you can use your 7 swaps in October. Just let the SwapIt Team member in store know your preference.
4. What if I decide to wait for 10 people sign up, but they don't?
Your card won’t be charged, and you’ll still have all of October to use your 7 swaps. After that, a regular membership is needed to keep swapping.
5. What counts as swap ready?
Clothing in great condition. To qualify for this promotion your clothing items can not have stains, tears, or damage. They need to be pieces you’d be excited to see someone else wear and love.
6. Once I join, do I always have to bring in sizes 14–20?
Nope! Once you’re a member, you can bring in any size. But by continuing to bring in pieces in sizes14–20, you help keep the momentum going for others.
7. Do I need to wear a size 14–20 to qualify for the discount?
Nope! You don’t need to wear those sizes, you just need to bring in 7 swap ready pieces in sizes 14–20 to unlock the $49 discounted 6-month Swap Membership.
8. How can I purchase this promotion?
Come into store during any Swap Time (see hours HERE) with your seven items in any sizes between 14 & 20. Tell a SwapIt Team Member that you would like to join and they will be happy to get you started.

Our Inventory
We had a wide variety of items and styles. Everything from pants to skirts, and coats to formal wear. Our inventory ranges from Ann Taylor to Boden to Forever 21. We have some vintage, current styles and everything in between. Our sizes now range from 2-18!
We have over 700 items on the floor at one time size extra small to extra large. Everything is organized by item type and then we always have a few racks organized by occasion like beach wear, back to the office and more. This system makes it easier to find what you are looking for.
Access to Styling
As a member you get access to personal styling (extra fee applies) and its amazing what a trained pair of eyes can do for you and your outfits. Styling not only levels up your look, but also makes getting ready in the morning so much easier.
We have styled over 400 women from ages 12 to 82.
Our stylists have a background in fashion and have been trained by SwapIt. We have built and honed our method of creating outfits that are stylish and put together.
Shopping and styling are what our stylists live for, that's why they do this. Doing it for themselves just isn't enough!

1) What is a one-month Swap Membership trial?
A One-month Swap Membership trial allows non-members to experience all the benefits of a Swap Membership for one full month. You get everything that a full membership offers including unlimited swaps. Give something up from your closet, get something new from our closet. You also get unlimited access to swap appointments as well as the opportunity to be styled with our Basic Swap & Style (for an additional $30 fee) and 10% off anything else we offer.
2) Why is this so exciting?
Usually we do not offer a trial membership. Typically we require you to sign up for the full year (offering a 90 day, 5 item swap guarantee) but for the month of May we are letting anyone try it out. It's the perfect chance to upgrade your wardrobe while seeing if a full membership is right for you.
3) When is the Swap Membership trial?
The trial starts on May 1st and ends on May 31st. During that month you can come in as much as you like, swap as much as you like and take advantage of anything else we may decide to offer that month.
4) How much does a one-month Swap Membership trial cost?
$37 for the entire month of May.
5) Who is this best for?
People who wear women's clothing size extra small to size large. (We have a separate Plus Size offer so e-mail style@aswappinggoodtime.com if you are interested in learning more about that)
6) What is swapping?
Swapping is when you bring an item of clothing in from your home to leave at SwapIt in exchange for bringing an item from SwapIt home. It allows you to clean out what doesn’t work for you and in exchange bring home something awesome for you.
7) How do I come in?
For the most comfortable swapping experience, the store is accessible by-appointment-only. We will only allow 6 swappers in the space at one time. Once you sign up we will send you more info on booking times to come in. We offer day time, weeknights and weekend hours.
8) Besides appointments, are there other ways I can swap with you during my membership?
Yes! Each week we do Facebook lives where we showcase items that we have received, but have not yet put on the swapping room floor. Members, and as a trial member you are able to comment on the video and we will put aside the items for you which you can take home at your next visit.
9) Can I turn my one-month trial into a year-long membership?
Yes! Toward the end of the month, we will be offering all one-month trial members a deal to become a full time member. You don’t want to miss it!

SwapIt was already planning this initiative so women+ could try out our membership, get some great clothes and of course have some fun!
But then something happened, that made this initiative have an even bigger meaning.
A few weeks ago for the second time, a wonderful family in our Medford community who have been longtime clients at SwapIt had an anti-trans hate crime committed against them at their home. For the second time. This is not OK!
The whole purpose of SwapIt is to love yourself and feel good about what you wear so that you can show up and bring your best self to the things you really care about -- whether that’s your family, your community, your career, or for many of us all of these.
We’ve always been a space that welcomes everyone. We fully believe that people should be themselves and express themselves as they see fit. By swapping clothing, we help you to experiment with your style and embrace change as your lives evolve, no matter what that looks like for you.
So when we heard about these two hate crimes against our neighbors, we really felt compelled to do something. No matter who you are, what you stand for, or certainly what you wear, no one should ever feel unsafe, especially in their own home.
Every member of our community deserves to be treated with respect.
So at SwapIt we are not only here to speak out against this horrid and cowardly hate crime, but we are going to make it even easier for trans women to be themselves.
Like we said we were already planning to run a new SwapIt Special called Fill a Tote. For one price, you can fill up an entire tote bag at SwapIt. How does it work?
When you purchase your Fill-a-Tote you get to shop the store and fill that tote! If it fits, you can take it home.
What is included in Fill-A-Tote?
Any and all clothing, bras and scarves at SwapIt. Bags, shoes and jewelry can be purchased.
How much does it cost?
$25 to fill an entire tote bag of your choosing.
What type of tote can I bring?
Any reusable bag. It can be extra large like the Ikea bags or it can be an average size like from the supermarket. That is up to you. We will only allow reusable tote bags. No garbage bags, boxes, luggage or bins. It must be a soft bag that you would use when going shopping. All bags are the same price.
How do I book?

Who is this best for?

Swap With A Friend allows non-members to experience SwapIt with a buddy. You will make an appointment for you and your friend to come in together. Usually swapping is reserved for members, but with Swap With A Friend anyone can come in and swap. It's the perfect chance to upgrade your wardrobe while hanging with your bestie.
When can I Swap With A Friend?
You can purchase a Swap With A Friend appointment to be used for a one-hour time slot on Sunday, September 12th at:

What is your COVID policy?
The store is accessible by-appointment-only. We will only allow 6 swappers in the space at one time, and we will require everyone to wear a mask. We have complementary hand sanitizer and masks available for everyone at the store as well as a restroom where hand washing with soap and water is available.
Can I turn my Swap With A Friend into a membership?
Yes, and both you and your friend can get a great discount! The full price of membership is $147 annually. Both you and your friend will be eligible to receive a discount of $21 off the price of full membership (making it just $126 annually!), as long as you decide to become a member within 24 hours of your Swap With A Friend appointment.

1) How does it work?
SwapIt's Basic Swap & Style allows non-members to experience SwapIt with the guidance of a trained stylist. You make an appointment for you (or you and up to five friends) and get the whole store to yourself. During the appointment, you (or you and your friends) can redeem up to 10 one-to-one swaps. What is SwapIt’s Clearance Sale?
This is our chance to clear out inventory and invite the whole community to enjoy all the goodies we have been collecting over the whole year. The store will be stuffed with clothing, shoes, bags and more. Everything is just $1. Items will be nicely hung, or on table and in bins. We want to get as much out for you to choose from as possible!
What type of clothing is at the clearance sale?
Everything! You will be able to find items that are new with tags and there will be items that have minor imperfections and everything in between. There will be clothing for every season. How does SwapIt’s All About Dresses work?
All About Dresses allows non-members & Swap Members to experience the power of the SwapIt inventory coupled with our team member's expertise. We will be putting out all of SwapIt's dresses giving you countless options to find what you love. Make an appointment and during the appointment you will be able to browse and try on hundreds of dresses all with the help of our dedicated team members. No more than 6 swappers per appointment. Your appointment comes with one swap. Give something up from your closet, get something new from our closet (dress or otherwise).
Why is this so exciting?
Usually swapping is reserved for members, but with All About Dresses anyone can come in to swap and get expert advice. It's the perfect chance to get a dress that is comfortable and works for your life.
What will be in store?
All our dresses as well as a few racks with tops, pants and cardigans. We will also have accessories, shoes and bags. All styles, tons of brands, all seasons. Ranging in size from XS-XL.

Who is this best for?

When is All About Dresses?

What is a swap?
Give something up from your closet, get something new from our closet. Think of it as credits. You bring in one item of clothing to leave with us and you get a credit to bring home one item of clothing you find at SwapIt. Your included swap must be used during your All About Dresses time slot.
Why do I have to get a ticket?
All About Dresses is all about giving you hands on service and providing you help in finding a dress that you will love and wear. We are only allowing 6 people per appointment time to make sure everyone gets the hands on help they deserve.

You make an appointment for you (or you and up to five friends) and get the whole store to yourself. During the appointment, you (or you and your friends) can redeem up to 10 one-to-one swaps. She will listen to what you want and need, help you find the right items, be with you in the dressing room to create outfits and then put those styling finishing touches so you leave with outfits that you want to wear and make you look put together and like the awesome women you are!

Why is this so exciting?
Many women have expressed that although they love the SwapIt model, they struggle to find the sizes they need, and so the Swap Membership hasn’t worked for them. We’re really happy to introduce a brand new Swap Membership customization called Even More Sizes created to deliver the SwapIt experience exclusively in sizes 00-2,18-22 and maternity. We know there is nothing more frustrating than going into a store and not finding anything that fits your body the way you want. With the Swap Membership Even More Sizes customization, instead of roaming the store you will get a bag with 10-15 items in the sizes you need four times a year. Plus you have access to the twice a month facebook lives, personal styling and other member perks.
Who is this best for?
People who wear women’s clothing sizes 00-2, 18-22 or need maternity clothing.
What do the bags include?
Each bag will have 10-15 items of clothing in your preferred size(s) that can be easily mixed-and-matched. We select the clothes based on a survey you fill out letting us know what your style preferences are and what you are looking for. We also provide photos to show you how we would style the clothes.
When do we get the bags?
The Even More Sizes customization includes four bags throughout the year, one for each season. These seasonal bags will be available for pick up from our 24 hour clothing swap box in March, June, September and November.
How do you know what should go in my bag?
Before each season you will get a survey that lets you tell us what you are looking for. What type of items, fit, colors, patterns and styles you like. We will also get to know you better over the course of the year and as you claim more items on our bi-monthly “What got Swapped in” videos. This will help us curate bags with items you will love.
What if my size changes during the year of membership?
We have sizes 00-22 and maternity. If you require a size outside that range, unfortunately, we do not have items in those sizes.
How does swapping work with the Even More Sizes customization work?
The Swap Membership includes unlimited one-to-one swaps: give something up from your closet, get something new from our closet. Think of it as credits. Bring an item in and get a credit to bring an item from SwapIt home. During the course of your membership you are expected to swap in the same number of items that you have received from SwapIt. For example, over the course of the year, if you receive 60 items from the seasonal bags, you are required to swap in 60 items. These items that you swap in can include the clothing from the bags that don’t work for you as well as the clothing in your closet that you no longer want.
Can I come into the store?
Yes. You are welcome to come into the store during our member hours and browse our floor. However, we do not hang sizes 00-2,18-22 or maternity items on the showroom floor, so the seasonal bags are the primary way you will enjoy your membership. If you let us know when you plan to be in the store, we will be happy to set out items in your preferred sizes to look through.
What about bags, shoes and accessories?
We can add those in by request. These items are not swappable and will have a per item charge. Bags are $7, shoes are $10 and jewelry & belts are $3.
Can I request certain items?
Yes! In the form you can request specific items like a gray sweater with an elephant on it or more general items like something to wear to your best friend’s wedding in Florida. We will do our best to fill all requests.
What if I don’t like what you give me in my bag?
We work with the information you give us to find items we think you will like. However if we miss the mark we will work with you to make it right.
How do the “What got swapped in” Facebook live videos work?
Twice a month we will do a special Facebook live just for your size group. We will go live on Facebook and showcase items we have in stock. If you like something just comment and we will put it aside for you to pick up in our 24 hour clothing swap box. You do not need to have a Facebook account to participate. We can send you the link and you can email us what you would like from the video. You can see an example of one of these videos HERE.
How do I get the seasonal clothing bags?
You can pick up the clothing from our 24 hour locked clothing pick up box by our store in south Medford. We can also ship, you just have to cover the shipping cost. We will not place a mark up on shipping.
What is your return policy?
We have a 90 day five swap guarantee. If you don’t keep five items within the first 90 days we will refund your membership.

Back to School in Style for Educators FAQs
What is a Back to School in Style (for educators)?
Back to School for Educators is a one hour style party for women+ that work in education. Each session includes the entire store just for your group, our stylist to help pick out clothes and style party goers as well as a bottle of bubbly. Each non-member attendee gets two swaps (bring in two items and take two items home). More items can be purchased for prices ranging from $3-$15. Only one attendee needs to be an educator to qualify. We require a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 10 people. When creating the booking it only allows one name. We will get the rest of the details from you later.
What is included in Back to School (for educators)?
* One private hour at SwapIt for your group
* A SwapIt trained clothing stylist
* A bottle of bubbly
* 2 swaps per guest (each person can bring in two items and bring home two items)
How much does a booking cost?
A booking includes everything listed out in the question above.
$30 for a booking by members
$50 for non member bookings
How do I book?

Do I need to pre-register my guests?
Yes. This is the best way to make sure that everyone gets the same, correct information. Registering your guests will take place after you create the online booking. The online booking is only under one person's name.
Who is this best for?
People who wear women's clothing size extra small to 1XL and maternity. We are excited that we are able to put out maternity and plus size for this event!! At least one attendee must be in the education field.

How does it work?
Swap With A Friend allows non-members to experience SwapIt with a buddy. You will make an appointment for you and your friend to come in together. During the appointment, you and your friend can both redeem up to 10 one-to-one swaps. Give something up from your closet, get something new from our closet.

Usually swapping is reserved for members, but with Swap With A Friend anyone can come in and swap. It's the perfect chance to upgrade your wardrobe while hanging with your bestie.
When can I Swap With A Friend?
You can purchase a Swap With A Friend appointment to be used for a one-hour time slot on Sunday, September 12th at:

Can I do Swap With A Friend alone?

Yes, and both you and your friend can get a great discount! The full price of membership is $147 annually. 1) How does it work?
SwapIt's Basic Swap & Style allows non-members to experience SwapIt with the guidance of a trained stylist. You make an appointment for you (or you and up to five friends) and get the whole store to yourself. During the appointment, you (or you and your friends) can redeem up to 10 one-to-one swaps. Give something up from your closet, get something new from our closet. You will also have the stylist at your disposal. She will listen to what you want and need, help you find the right items, be with you in the dressing room to create outfits and then put those styling finishing touches so you leave with outfits that you want to wear and make you look put together and like the awesome women you are!
2) Why is this so exciting?
Usually swapping is reserved for members, but with Basic Swap & Style anyone can come in and swap. It's the perfect chance to have a professional help you upgrade your wardrobe.
3) When can I book a Basic Swap & Style for?
